Introduction to Birth: What to Expect

  • 26 Steps

About

This introductory birth class helps new mothers understand the physical, emotional, and practical parts of labor and birth. It covers late-pregnancy preparation, the stages of labor, comfort measures, common medical options and interventions, and the first hours after birth. The program is designed to help participants ask informed questions, communicate their preferences, and feel more prepared for their individual birth experience. It complements, rather than replaces, guidance from a qualified maternity care provider.
